We’re back!!!
We’re thrilled to announce the 2024 Jazz Sudbury Festival will be presented on September 6 to 8. Friday night kicks off with Vince Maccarone’s Los Variants on the mainstage at Place des Arts. The band takes the audience on a musical journey around the world highlighting origins and cultures of its members: Flamenco, Middle Eastern groove, Caribbean rhythms… with a common theme rooted in jazz. Then we welcome back multiple award-winning singer-songwriter, Laili Biali. Her signature sound transcends genre as she masterfully brings virtuosity and unpredictability to her show.
Saturday afternoon features our popular Jazz Walk with performances in iconic downtown locations including The Refettorio and La Fromagerie, plus a special FREE concert in Memorial Park.
We’re anxious to immerse our audiences in a new performance venue on Saturday night. The outstanding Knox Hall is quickly becoming the focus of both local and visiting artists. We begin the evening with vocalist and composer Kalya Ramu who has carved out a distinctive presence in the Toronto jazz scene. Then we raise the roof with the dynamic Turbo Street Funk and their blend of jazz, rock, ska and world music.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, we’re also presenting FREE concerts in Memorial Park.
