I will share this with you, and its my best recipe. I actually self-discovered this, by accident and found it to be so delicious and healthy I make many large pots in the fall.

I don’t measure ingredients so it’s never exactly the same. Maybe one day I will develop an actual recipe.

I buy a large family pack of chicken, and use a large pot. I cut up the chicken and toss it in the pot, along with an entire stalk of celery and 2 large onions. Chop it all up and toss it in. Add salt to taste (very important ingredient). This is going to amplify the natural taste of the ingredients and its so yummi. Also put some pepper in there. You’ll have to taste it after it cooks.

The secret ingredients that I discovered by accident are curry powder and marjoram. It almost tastes exactly like chicken noodle soup, the yellow powder stuff that you buy. But be careful not to add to much or you will ruin it. A little goes a long way with curry powder and marjoram. That’s it folks, you’re in for a real treat if you give this a shot. Bring it all to a boil with the lid on, then turn off the stove and let it cook and simmer. In 1 hour your soup is ready.

I find it to be very wholesome and healing, clean and light body. No starches, and a large pot will last up to 7 days. I have 1 bowl per day, and put the entire pot in the fridge rather than using Tupperware. The choice is yours!

Thanks for reading, I invite you to post any great recipes you have.

Today’s recipe was a beef stew with potatoes and onions. A warm comforting pot to counter the cold weather.

I tried new flavours and it tastes fantastic. The spicing is salt, pepper , worshester sauce, soya sauce, piri piri hot sauce, curry powder and paprika.

I’ve never used this combination before and experimenting with flavours is a favorite past time. It turned out really well! It’s delicious served with fresh bread, butter and cheese

Grilled sandwiches. Very easy to pull off, and tasty , I get some large bread, and butter the outsides. Throw in the pan , put on cream cheese, lunch meats, cheese, a fried egg, and get those sides grilled to perfection.
I cook it long and slow on low heat , It should crunch when you cut it in half

Serve with oven baked french fries, yumm

This is what I did last night. Alot of the time there are ‘leftovers’ and last night it was leftover steak, I chopped it up, fried it in a pan with veggies. cooked some rice, stir fried 2 eggs and added spices and soy sauce. It was delicious and hardy mixed all together with steak and eggs. This is improvising at home, I have worked in several commercial kitchens in my days with all the equipment. Cooking at home is much different, and still alot of fun.

I also like to splash a hint of BBQ sauce into my rice and that gives it great flavor

I love these recipes! Trouble when I cook because I don’t have a lot of leftovers. What do you suggest?
